Who is a creative professional? Some creative professionals produce new forms or designs that are readily transferable and widely useful. They make new products, strategies, or music, for example, that can be widely disseminated and used over and over. Other creative professionals are knowledge workers who manipulate ideas in ways that are both new and useful. They think on their feet and exercise a great degree of independent judgment.
Are you a creative professional? You may be if your life looks like this: I work in a place where things change. I'm required to come up with new ideas, and I often have to think independently. While some people deal with complicated issues that have one right answer, I have to handle complex situations where there are many variables and no one right answer. And where others can be masters who do the same things well and repeatedly, I have to do new things where there can be failure and success.
If you find that you are, or want to be, a creative professional, you might want to see if you exhibit the thinking that's needed to be a successful creative professional.
